The Illinois Tollway is installing a sound wall on the south side of I-55 between Lemont Rd. and Woodward Ave. (unincorporated area). However, there are no plans for a sound wall on the north side of I-55 from Lemont Rd. to Woodward Ave (1.1 miles) in Woodridge.

UPDATE: Engineering studies show minimal benefit beyond 500 feet of the sound wall. There are 40 homes within 500 feet of I-55. IDOT will pay up to $24,000 per affected home.
